Mistakes I Have Made In My Weight- Loss Journey.
If you are in your weight loss journey, avoid these mistakes...
I feel since I have looked in the mirror, I have always either wanted to gain a few pounds or lose a few pounds.
Sure there are times (most often during vacations), when I don’t really care about what I am eating (as long as it’s plant-based of course ;)) or how I look. But for the majority of my life, I have to make an extra effort to ensure the weighing scale stays within a certain range.
My journey with my body however has evolved quite a lot and being in the field of helping people get fit, I have learned quite a few gems in the past few years.
Here is a summary of all the mistakes I have made and the ones you can avoid in your journey:
In all honesty, if you are struggling to lose weight, you are probably doing it wrong. In my practice, the only clients who struggle to lose weight are the ones who struggle with some hormonal imbalance (most often from extremely low-calorie diets or overtraining). Simply fixing the hormonal balance helps most people fast-track their weight loss journey.
I tell this to people often. It is not difficult to lose weight, but sustaining the same is only possible when you make an effort to change your lifestyle. That should be your goal.
Think about it. Are you modifying your lifestyle or simply trying to see a number on the scale only to bounce back?
