“Monday se gym jaunga…” but when will Monday come?
The art of outsourcing your wellness goals...
My father recently lost his childhood friend, and it broke him. This uncle was someone I often spoke to about health, but his response was always, "Monday se gym jaunga" (I'll start gym from Monday). He was just shy of 60 when he had a heart attack.
Isn’t it strange? We push ourselves relentlessly for professional goals, sprinting, crawling, doing whatever it takes. But when it comes to our health, we assume we have all the time in the world.
Here’s the harsh truth: we don’t. Our busy lives often leave little time for self-care, but I’ve found a small hack that works for me.
A few weeks ago, I stumbled upon a YouTube video of a plant-based triathlete. Inspired, I decided to aim for a triathlon in 2025.
That’s a big goal—3.8 km swimming, 180 km cycling, and 42.2 km running. Even if I don’t do the full thing, I thought, why not try a shorter version?
My first instinct was to do everything myself:
🔴 Create a weekly training schedule...
🔴 Research nutrition plans...
🔴 Find the best running shoes and swim gear...
After hours of stressing and making no progress, I stopped and thought, What am I doing? My goal is to experience a triathlon, not to overwhelm myself with planning.
So, I did a quick Google search and found a great coach. I shared my schedule, and she’s now handling everything for me—training plans, nutrition guidance, and more.
We often feel the need to figure everything out ourselves, but what if we didn’t? What if we left the hard parts to experts and just showed up?
For example, my team helps clients by working directly with their home cooks and chefs, so they don’t have to spend extra time. It’s all about outsourcing your health.
