I feel like everyone is always just a few kilo’s away from their goal weight. It’s not nearly as motivating as waiting to get on a “diet plan” right away, but nor is it nothing that you eat a double chocolate chip cookie guilt-free.
With over 10 years of experience in nutrition and working with countless clients, I can say that diet plans with an expiry date do absolutely no good in achieving lasting results.
The lasting results can only come when I change one small part of my daily lifestyle forever. And then pick another small part… and another one… and so on…
For example, I could force myself to eat one less phulka daily till I lose weight and struggle with hunger all month long, or I could make a lifestyle change of including a cup of raw salad before I start my main lunch. The salad helps:
Boost My Satiety Hormone: This helps me feel full faster and not want to reach out for the extra phulka.
Add An Anti-Onidant Boost To My Meal: This helps my cells get the nutrients they need and thus keeps me away from unnecessary cravings.
Helps Me Reach My Fiber Goal: Fiber does much more than fill my stomach. Fiber helps my gut literally grow healthy bacteria which helps my metabolism stay up. This further helps me burn more fat at rest.
One of the above was a lifestyle change while the other was a diet with an expiration plan.
Next time you seriously want to get rid of those last few pounds, ask yourself how you can make a lifestyle change to help you do the same.
Trust this helps,
