It really is that simple. Get some early morning sunlight exposure.
Our ancestors were well aware of the benefits of sunlight exposure. They spent their days outdoors, soaking up the sun and reaping its many benefits.
But as our lives have become more sedentary, we're missing out on this natural source of energy and healing.
There has been a growing trend towards eating like our ancestors, with many people embracing a more natural and whole foods-based diet.
This is a great step towards improving our health and wellness, but it's important to remember that our ancestors didn't just eat differently than we do, they also lived very different lifestyles.
They woke up with the sun, indulged in activities like gardening, or simply shared a cup of chai basking under sunlight.
While today, we live in cramped apartments now, barely have time to cook, leave alone planting and plucking our vegetables, and avoid stepping out.
While eating like our ancestors is a positive step, it's equally important to make sure that we are also incorporating lifestyle changes just as our ancestors did.
So, what is the challenge?
15 minutes of sunlight exposure on waking up every morning.
Try any of the following:
Take your pet for a morning walk.
Practice breathing exercises near an open East- facing window.
Try doing some stretches in the balcony.
Plug in your airpods and go for a walk with some music or a podcast.
or simply sit with a loved one basking under the Sun.
You are ofcourse free to add to the above list. Just dont make the activity more complicated than it is. You do not have to stare at the sun or go in your bathing suit. You can even apply suncreen if you would like!
Just “light” exposure is our focus here.
We will discuss the benefits of sunlight exposure on weight loss, mood management, disease reversal and much more in the next newsletter.
For this, week, aim to get 15- minutes of sunlight exposre everyday till the next challenge.
