If you have been following the wellness challenges for February, you know what’s up :)
It is time for the third challenge of the month!
I am consciously refraining from challenges that involve nutritional changes. I believe lifestyle changes are much more than just making changes to your diet. I also want people to understand how drastically cravings for eating high-sugar, high-fat foods fall once you make lifestyle changes that are more than nutrition.
If you have been consistent with your sunlight exposure, then this week, we will add on to that.
Breath (right). It really is that simple!
We are so used to multiple short, mouthbreathing in our day- to- day lives now that we do not even realise how much it is impacting our health.
Did you know just the way you breath can change your facial structure, emmotional wellbeing, physical health and even determine if you lose or gain weight!
For example, check this out:
A pair of twins but completely different jaw- line development based on if they were mouth breathers or not.
But investing some time to practice breathwork is much more than just physical appearence. In the next newsletter, we will explore the significance of breathwork on your physical health.
Just like you would go to the gym for an hour a day to sculpt your body, practicing breathwork for 11 minutes a day is enough to take care of your health throughout the day.
So what is the challenge?
Practice 11 minutes of structred breathing exercises every morning on waking up.
You can couple this with your sunlight exposure to hit two targets with one bullet.
Different breathing techniques will help you achieve different outcomes. For example,
Long breaths with holds is associated with reduced cravings for junk food.
Kapalabhati is associates with better lung capacity and improved cardio- valcular function etc.

Let’s discuss the WHY’s in the next newsletter.
